HND/B.Sc Disparity: FG Is Working Out A Frame Work To End It – YABATECH Rector

The Federal Government in a bid to ensure that the dos[parity between HND and B. Sc graduates comes to an end is working to introduce a frame work know as the National Vocational Qualification Framework (NVQF)

This was disclosed by Dr Margaret Ladipo, the Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) during the pre-convocation briefing.

She stated that the frame work us currently being developed by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)  and once they are done with the paperwork, the frame work will immediately be adopted.

She further explained that once the frame work is adopted, polytechnic graduates will be required to wrote an examination any HND graduate that passes that examination will automatically be equally to  graduates from universities.

This she said will eventually end the disparity between HND and B.Sc graduates.

She equally revealed that the process of upgrading YABATECH to a university is still on; adding that a committee has been sent to assess the staff strength and facilities in the school.
