The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the date for the commencement of first and second admission windows for the 2020/2021 academic session.
According to JAMB, the first window of admission will commence on September 7th, 2020, and 4th October 2020.
Accordingly, institutions that are not planning to utilize the first window can schedule their Post- UTME screening test to hold during the second window period by which time, the results of the qualifying examinations would have been released.
JAMB stated that this year’s admission deadline will be determined by the Federal Ministry of Education and communicated to all the institutions as the uncertainties of the pandemic have made it impossible to fix a specific deadline at this time.
This means schools and JAMB will start giving qualified candidates who have passed through the screening process of their different schools of choice admission from September 7th, 2020.
JAMB boss stated that the admission-exercise for the 2020/2021 Academic Session would be conducted on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) as it has been for the last three years.
The board warned schools against giving any candidates an illegal admission. institutions are therefore reminded institutions and the public that all forms of illegal and irregular admission have stopped as all admission into Full Time, Distance Learning, Part-Time, Sandwich, must be processed only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
JAMB tasked the three higher education regulatory bodies – The National Universities Commission (NUC), the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE ) – to collaborate with it to ensure full compliance with the guidelines.

I don’t think it really matters if universities are still under lock . the university U applied for will tell you it’s post Ume date. They will provide the measures for safe exams

That’s why the admission process is in two phases. If u read clearly, it was stated that o’level will be release wby the time of the 2nd phase..
