JAMB List Of 2017/2018 Most Sought-After Universities, Polytechnics And COE’S

The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board following the conclusion of its policy meting had provided the list of Most Sought-After and Least Sought-After Universities, Polytechnics And Colleges of Education In 2017/2018 Academic session as well as the least-sought after.

Most sought-after schools are schools that received the highest number of applications from applicants in 2017 UTME registration while least sought-after schools means schools that received lowest number of applications from applicants in 2017 UTME.

Among  Universities, UNILORIN came first with 104,038 Applicants. For polytechnics, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro came first with 1706 Applicants while for Colleges of Education, Federal College of Education, Zaria came first with 2163 Applicants.

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)-  89,688 Applicants

University of Benin (UNIBEN) – 85,486 Applicants

University of Nigeria Nsukka, (UNN) – 79.073 Applicants

University of Lagos, (UNILAG) – 78,899 Applicants

Bayero University Kano, (BUK) – 68,241 Applicants

University of Ibadan (UI) – 62,295 Applicants

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) – 60,875 Applicants

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) – 51,556 Applicants

University of Jos (UNIJOS) – 49,505 Applicants

Least Sought After Federal Universities

Federal University Dutsima Katsina –  3807 Applicants

Federal University Gashua Yobe –  1897 Applicants

Kaduna State University – 28,914 Applicants;

Delta State University Abraka, –  28,672 student applicants,

Nasarawa State University –  29,142 applicants

Benue State University Makurdi, 27, 611 Applicants

Adekunle Ajasin University Ondo  27,579 Applicants.
