JAMB update on 2022 results and notice to candidates with technical issues

JAMB has provided some important information regarding the release of the results of the just concluded UTME exam and candidates that had issues and were not able to write the exam. This information was made available on the official Twitter page of JAMB.

To make it easier to understand this piece of information, we will break it down individually under subheadings. We advise candidates who have questions concerning the release of their results and who were unable to write the exam due to biometric issues and other technical hitches to read carefully;

Number of Results Released So far
According to JAMB, the results of 1,671,203 candidates have so far been released. 1,761,338 candidates registered for the exam out of which 1,707,626 sat the exam. This means that the results of a good number of candidates that took the 2022 UTME have already been released.

Number of Withheld Results and Results still under screening
JAMB equally disclosed that about 69 results have been withheld. This simply means that these results may never be released. The only reason for this is that there is a high chance that the candidates were involved in some form of malpractice. The results of 27,105 are still being screened. For candidates that are yet to see their results, It is possible that your results are among those that are still being screened. If that is the case, there is still possibility that your results will soon be released but that is if you are not implicated in any form of malpractice.

Update on candidates that did not write the exam due to biometric and other technical issues
JAMB disclosed that about 1,783 candidates were not able to write the 2022 JAMB exam due to the fact that they had biometric issues and other technical challenges. JAMB has made a provision for such candidates to rewrite the exam. According to JAMB, such candidates will be rescheduled for the exam. JAMB however, did not indicate when the exams will be written, how such candidates will be contacted. or if the However, we advise candidates with such issues to try to reprint their exam slip to know if they have been rescheduled. If JAMB happens to provide any other official announcement regarding this, we will let you know.

JAMB did not release any information regarding when they will enable the portal for candidates to check their results online. But we will keep you updated once the portal has been enabled.
