The bill for the amendment of the JAMB act which includes that the JAMB UTME result be allowed to be valid for more than one year has today scaled through the third reading in the Senate House and now awaits the assent of the president to be passed in to law.

With this development, the JAMB UTME result is expected to henceforth be valid for a period of three (3) years.
According to the Senate, President Bukola Saraki, the increase on the validity of JAMB Result will help reduce the financial burden on parents and students as well as the fraudulent practices associated with the admission of students into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
