NDA 78th Regular Course application form out (2026/2027 admissions)

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has announced that applications are now open for admission into the 78th Regular Course. Interested candidates are invited to apply online through the official NDA application portal.

Online application for admission into the 78th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy is ongoing and will end 30 April 2026. Admission into the NDA is open to both male and female Nigerian candidates.

Applicants are required to visit the NDA application portal and obtain an access code after making payment of ₦7,000 via REMITA. Only payments made through the official application portal will be accepted.

Method of Application
Interested candidates must complete the online application form through the NDA website. Applicants seeking admission into the Academy must also apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and select Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as their first choice institution. Candidates are also required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Submission of Applications
Completed application forms must be submitted online along with scanned copies of relevant credentials such as SSCE, NECO or equivalent results. After successful submission, applicants should download and print their Acknowledgement Form.

Admission Requirements
The requirements for various undergraduate programmes are available on the NDA website and application portal. Candidates with knowledge of French or Arabic will have an added advantage. SSCE/NECO results presented must not be more than five years old at the time of admission.

Screening Test Conditions
Only candidates who meet the admission requirements and obtain a minimum UTME score of 210 for Engineering courses and 180 for other faculties will be eligible to print the Screening Test Admission Card and participate in the NDA screening test.

Screening Test Date and Requirements
The NDA Screening Test will be conducted as Phase One of the Post-UTME screening and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 June 2026. Candidates must come to the screening centre with their Acknowledgement Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB result slip, and two passport photographs (3.5 x 5 inches).

Nature and Duration of Training
Candidates admitted into the Nigerian Defence Academy will undergo both military and academic training for a period of five (5) years. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn an honours degree in their chosen discipline and receive a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Administration
All Regular Course cadets will receive training in the Academy while the Federal Government of Nigeria will bear the cost of their administration and logistics.

Reference Materials
The Academy provides a Compendium of Past Questions and Answers for candidates at a token fee. Interested applicants may obtain this material from the NDA Registry.
