The Head of Media and Information, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday in Lagos disclosed that the 2017 UTME Registration will be done by candidates through PIN Vending.
The new system will demand that candidates make payment through any of the following payment channels; online Quick Teller, ATM Card (Visa, Verve, and Master card), web payment, mobile payment applications or Bank Branch case/card via the JAMB Website and a unique PIN. The unique PIN will then be used by the candidates to upload his/her date and all information as required on the JAMB Portal.
He called on the public especially prospective UTME Candidates to start getting use to the new system as the use of scratch rads is now outdated.
Dr Fabian equally mentioned that the board is currently putting measures in place to ensure that the technical hitches and other challenges experience by candidates during the 2016 UTME do not happen in 2017 UTME.
He however was quick to add that it does not mean that 2017 UTME will be 100% hitch free .
He equally stated that the board will soon commence the inspection and validation of existing JAMB CBT centres as well as the accreditation of new ones.
