Following the release of the 2025 exam results, JAMB has confirmed that it has received a high number of complaints from candidates as well as parents, guardians and other stakeholders. Many candidates have complained that their scores don’t match how they performed in the exam, and some have already submitted formal complaints. It was reported that about 8,000 candidates have reported technical issues during the test.
JAMB explained that every candidate was given a fair chance to sit for the exam. the board said were there was technical issues at any centre, the affected candidates were rescheduled without delay.
However, in response to this current complaints and to promote transparency as well as confidence in the conduct of the exam , JAMB is now speeding up its annual review process, which usually happens months after the exam. This review looks into all parts of the exam process from registration to the actual exam and the final release of results.
To make sure these complaints are properly investigated, JAMB has brought in several experts, including top IT professionals, university heads, and education researchers. Their job is to check if any errors or glitches occurred and recommend solutions.
JAMB has also said that if any problems are found, it will take immediate steps to correct them. The board is asking students and the public to stay calm and patient as the review continues.
Even though the spokesperson for JAMB earlier said the results reflect the candidates’ performance, many students and parents remain concerned especially with reports showing that over 78% of candidates scored below 200 out of 400.
JAMB has promised to maintain the integrity of the examination process and make things right if any mistakes are discovered. If you’re among the many students worried about your 2025 UTME result, you’re not alone and JAMB has heard your concerns and if any error is noticed during the review process, it will definitely be fixed. We believe JAMB will have to re-mark the exam or reschedule the exam for all affected candidates.

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with my recent JAMB result. My name is Scyllas Salvation Oluwanifemi. Despite my hard work and dedication, I received a score that doesn’t reflect my efforts. Many students, including myself, have poured their hearts and souls into preparing for this exam, only to be met with results that are disheartening and demotivating. Also, my system had glitches, the calculator were not working, I had to use manual calculator…likeee if I tap on 4, it’ll appear 10 times and I’ll obviously have to delete it…it was time consuming. My system submitted for me too without me trying and I still had time left. Although, I was already through, I wasn’t able to go through it.
The stress, anxiety, and sacrifices we’ve made seem to have been in vain. Fake or incorrect results can be devastating, and we urge you to take immediate action to review and rectify this situation.
I respectfully request a re-evaluation/re-marking of my JAMB result to ensure its accuracy. I believe this would bring relief and justice to students like me who are affected by this issue.
