JAMB 2024 UTME Registration/examination timelines

JAMB has announced the date for the commencement of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This was contained in a statement issued in Bwari, FCT, by JAMB’s Head, Public Affairs and Protocols, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

Registration Date and deadline
According to JAMB, the 2024 UTME/DE registration has been approved to commence on Saturday, 15th January to 26th February 2024. The registration will take place in over 700 centres across the country.

JAMB Main exam date
The exam will hold between hold from April 19th to 29th, 2024. Venues of the examination would be at any of the centres in the candidate’s chosen examination town. NIN is a compulsory requirement for registration
JAMB also stated that all candidates must provide their National Identity Number (NIN) at the point of registration.  as this is mandatory for participation in the 2024 registration exercise. Therefore all candidates yet to register and obtain their NIN are advised to proceed to the closest NIMC registration centre.

JAMB Registration cost
It also added that the registration fee for the 2024 application remains N3, 500, and N500 for recommended Reading Text.

JAMB Mock exam date
The 2024 mock examination will be held on March 7th, 2024. Candidates who would like to take the mock exam, will be expected to pay the sum of N1000 service charge to the Computer-Based Test centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration to prevent a situation where candidates would indicate their interest to sit the mock-UTME leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination.

JAMB further revealed that the complete information regarding the registration processes and requirements would be made available on JAMB’s official website and also advertised in the electronic and print media before January 15th, 2024.
