How to link, correct or change the email address connected to your JAMB profile

Many candidates who wish to perform one activity or the other on the JAMB e-facility portal are required to login in using their email address and password. However, many candidates have been unable to do so because they have not linked their email address and so do not have login details to the JAMB portal or because the one they linked before was not correct and they need to change or correct the email address.

According to JAMB, candidates can link their email addresses to their JAMB profile and get their login details to access the JAMB portal using the following steps below.

1. Send and SMS to JAMB’s Short Code

  • 1. Send Email (space) ‘your email’ (space) ‘your email’ to 55019 or 60019 as an SMS
e.g Email [email protected] [email protected] (Note: it should be with the Sim card you used for registration and you should have up to N50 airtime)
  • 2. After sending the SMS, you will receive an email from JAMB containing your login details.

In case a candidate loses his or her password, such candidate can reset lost or forgotten Profile Password on their registered cell phone by sending [password] space [email address] from the same mobile number as a text message to 55019 or 66019. The above procedure is how a candidate can successfully obtain his/her login details for the JAMB E-facility portal. If this option does not work, check the 2nd option below

2. Use JAMB Accredited Centre

Some candidates have complained that they have tried the steps explained above but still are not yet able to link their email to their JAMB profile/portal while some other candidates complained that they want to change or correct the email address they used before. If the 1st option did not work for you or you need to correct or change the email address that is already linked to your JAMB profile, then you need to visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre around you (preferably where you registered for JAMB) and ask the operators to help you out with it.

We have referred many candidates already who have this issue to CBT centres and they have been able to link their emails to their JAMB profiles. So every candidate having this same issue should take this same step. Please note that the CBT centre operators will demand payment as their service charge. So you are advised to visit the CBT centre with at least a N1000.
