SSU Registration Procedure For New & Returning Students – 2017/2018

The management of Sokoto State University (SSU) has published the registration procedure for new and returning students in the 2017/2018 academic session.

Students are to follow the procedure an instructions as given below;

Procedure for Online Registration (Fresh Students)

  1. Visit the University website at www.ssu.edu.ng and click on Online Screening Portal or visit www.screening.ssu.edu.ng
  2. Login to your screening portal account, using your UTME Registration Number as username and password and click on login.
  3. Check your Admission Status, and once admitted, come along with all your original credentials and their photocopies to the University Campus for Verification and Confirmation.
  4. After Confirmation, a Confirmation Letter would be issued to you, then visit the University website at www.ssu.edu.ng and click on Online Student Registration Portal or direct visit www.portal.ssu.edu.ng
  5. Enter your Admission Number as username and password and click on login.
  6. Click on “Generate Invoice” button in order to get your customized and unique payment invoice with Remita Reference Retrieval (RRR) number.
  7. Print your invoice and proceed to any Bank nationwide or click on “Pay Now” button to make payment via any of the remita instant payment options.
  8. After payment, login again and register your courses according to your departmental guide.
  9. After courses registration, print payment receipt, courses registration form, form 02, medical form and take it to respective offices for signing and distribution.

Procedure for Online Registration (Returning Students)

  1. Visit the University website at www.ssu.edu.ng and click on Online Student Registration Portal or visit www.portal.ssu.edu.ng
  2. Enter your Admission Number as username and password and click on login.
  3. Click on “Generate Invoice” button in order to get your customized and unique payment invoice with Remita Reference Retrieval (RRR) number.
  4. Print your invoice and proceed to any Bank nationwide or click on “Pay Now” button to make payment via any of the remita instant payment options.
  5. After payment, login again and register your courses according to your departmental guide.
  6. After courses registration, print payment receipt, courses registration form, form 02, medical form and take it to respective offices for signing and distribution.

Deferment and Change of Programme (How to Apply)

  1. Deferment can only be done after confirmation of admission.
  2. Login to your account using your admission number or UTME registration number (as the case may be) at www.ssu.edu.ng) and click on view/create complaint.
  3. Select the type of complaint, submit and wait for approval.
  4. Upon approval, payment button will appear, then click to generate invoice.
  5. Print your invoice and proceed to any Bank nationwide or click on “Pay Now” button to make payment via any of the remita instant payment options.
  6. After payment, login again and print complaint acknowledgement and evidence slip for record purposes.

Procedure for Online Bed Space Reservation (Fresh & Returning Students)

  1. Visit the University website at www.ssu.edu.ng and click on Online Hostel Management System or visit www.hostel.ssu.edu.ng
  2. Enter your Admission Number as username and password and click on login.
  3. Click on “Reserve Bed Space” button and select block name, room number and bed number available for you. Then, click on “Confirm and Generate Invoice” button in order to get your customized and unique payment invoice with Remita Reference Retrieval (RRR) number.
  4. Print your invoice and proceed to any Bank nationwide or click on “Pay Now” button to make payment via any of the remita instant payment options.
  5. After payment, login again and print your bedspace acknowledgement slip and then proceed to Students’ Affairs Division.
