JAMB fixes date for 2026 mop-up exam

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the date for the conduct of the 2026 UTME mop-up examination for candidates who completed biometric verification but were unable to sit for the examination due to various challenges.

The 2026 UTME was conducted from April 16 to April 29, 2026, but some centres experienced technical issues that prevented certain candidates from taking the examination. In addition, some results were withdrawn over examination irregularities/infraction issues, while some candidates who appeared for the exam could not be successfully verified biometrically. These affected candidates have now been scheduled for the mop-up examination.

According to JAMB, the mop-up exercise serves as the final stage of the annual UTME process and is designed to address all unresolved examination issues involving eligible candidates.

Candidates affected by this development are advised to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026, to check their examination details.

JAMB also urged all concerned candidates to familiarize themselves with their examination centres and make adequate preparations ahead of the examination date, stressing that there will be no further opportunity to sit for the 2026 UTME after the mop-up examination.
