The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has disclosed when candidates who participated in the 2020 May/June SCSCE exam that was concluded a few days ago would see their results. This was disclosed by the Head of public affairs of WAEC Nigeria, Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, in an interview with newsmen.
According to him, for two years now, WAEC has been able to release candidates’ results 45 days after the conclusion of the exam and that of 2020 May/June SSCE will not be an exception.
This means that all things being equal, candidates should expect their 2020 May/June SSCE results will be released within the 1st week of November.
This means that candidates that want to use their results for the 2020 admission exercise still have the opportunity to secure admission this year.
He revealed that a total of 1,459,463 students sat the exam in Nigeria. Each of them took a minimum of eight or a maximum of nine subjects that must include the English language and Mathematics.
He mentioned that some candidates, invigilators, and supervisors were caught in malpractice as well as operators of what he termed rogue websites were also caught.
According to him, there are categories of people caught for malpractice during the exam, and more would still be detected during markings and all of them would certainly serve the consequences of their respective actions according to the law.
