The JAMB Boss, Professor Oloyede yesterday in Abuja disclosed the reason why the board has not been able to released more results this week.
Speaking during the parade of a suspect caught in exam malpractice by officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oloyede said that the gross evidence of exam malpractices in various centres made the board unable to release some results on Wednesday as the board will need more time to review the results.
He explained that the board was able to detect, through the use of technology, that most of the cabling issues at CBT centres, were pre-arranged.
“Their intentions are to help people not knowing that we now have a device that monitors every computer system in every centre, via a code. “We are able to detect now, people who are able to write the exams, answering 180 questions in just 12 minutes. “We also have three to four persons who wrote the examinations on the same computer at a session not knowing we have the identity of every computer.’’ He said.
Oloyede disclosed that the board had identified 14 centres across the country involved in malpractice and assured that the operators would be prosecuted.

My ward wrote his JAMB Exam on 13th March, 2018, 9.00 a.m batch at JKK Building, No. 229, Ikorodu Road, Lagos State, and up till now his result has not been released. He did not get involved in examination malpractice and his Center also has no record of such, please what is going on? I’m worried.
From what we observed, many candidates that wrote the exam in that centre are yet to get their results. It could be problem with the center. Probably there is something fishy that JAMB detected in the centre during the exam. Nevertheless, JAMB stated that the results of innocent candidates will be released in such cases. So hopefully before the end of this week, the result of your ward will be released.
